Gentle teaching
Swaddling, bathing, feeding rhythms, reading baby's cues. I show you, then let you try, so you grow in confidence instead of depending on me.
Dads matter too
It's not just the nursing mom. Dads can get lost in all of it. I help dad find his part and know how much he's needed by baby, by mom, and by the household.
The whole household
A new baby changes everything, especially with older brothers and sisters at home. I help the family settle into new rhythms and welcome baby together.
Holding a new baby through the night is a gift I never take for granted. You rest. I've got this.

Meet CC
Hi, I'm Cheryl Conley. Most families call me CC.
I'm a newborn care specialist and postpartum doula, and I have a deep love for babies and the families who welcome them. I care about the whole picture: a baby who is safe and settled, a mom who is rested and supported, and a dad who knows he belongs right in the middle of it all.
I've been a Newborn Care Specialist for 13 years and I'm a Certified Postpartum Doula. I care for babies from birth to one year: overnight, 24-hour and longer-term, including twins, triplets and some special care needs. Sleep conditioning, feeding support and guiding new parents are at the heart of it.
I want to be an advocate for families and for babies. To me this is more than a job. It's a blessing to be trusted with your little one in the quiet of the night. My faith is at the center of who I am, and while I'm holding your baby in those quiet hours, I'm praying for your family.

Questions
Questions families ask
When should we book?
The earlier the better. Many families reach out during pregnancy so nights are set before baby arrives. If baby is already here, ask anyway.
Do you help if I'm breastfeeding?
Yes. I bring baby to you when it's time to nurse, then take over burping, changing and settling so you can go straight back to sleep.
Do you only help at night?
Overnight care is the heart of what I do, so you can rest. I also offer 24-hour and longer-term care. Every family is different, so tell me what would help most and we'll shape a plan around it.
Can you care for twins or triplets?
Yes. I've cared for several sets of twins and for newborn triplets, and I've taken advanced training in caring for multiples.
Are you trained in safe sleep and CPR?
Yes. I'm current in adult, child and AED CPR, and I've completed safe sleep training, most recently in 2024.
What does care cost?
It depends on how many nights and how many weeks you'd like. Reach out with your due date and I'll put together a plan and price for your family.
What area do you serve?
I'm based in Gaithersburg, Maryland, and care for families in and around the area. If you're a little farther away, ask. I've also traveled with families.
